COSMOTE TV obtained
22 distinctions at the 43rd Telly Awards, for the original promotion of its content, the use of innovative technologies and its creative artistic approach to shows and pop-up channels. At the longest lasting television & video event, which is held in New York and honours the best television network and platform projects from around the world every year, COSMOTE TV received 6 Gold awards, 8 Silver awards and 8 Bronze awards.
Distinctions for direction, Augmented Reality, editing, original graphics and opening themes
The feel-good ‘Oscars’ Promo and the ‘Marvel’ pop-up channel each received 2 Gold awards in the Branded Content Craft-Editing and Branded Content Craft – Use of music categories, for direction (editing and music use), and a Gold award in the Digital Set & AR category was received by both the ‘European Football Show’ and the digital Press event for the fifth anniversary of COSMOTE HISTORY, for the use of digital technology and Augmented Reality.
Silver distinctions were awarded to the COSMOTE HISTORY Image Promo in the Branded Content Craft – Editing category, the pop-up channel ‘COSMOTE SPORT ACROPOLIS RALLY’ in the Branded Content Campaign-Campaign: Branding category, the Promo ‘Wonder Woman’ in the Television - General: movie trailers category, the ‘UEFA Champions League Show 2021-2022’, UEFA Europa League Finals 2021’ and ‘UEFA Champions League Finals 2021’ broadcasts in the Immersive & mixed reality craft - Use of AR category, and finally one silver award for each of the opening themes of the “Sport Show” and “Rithmos ton Derbi”, at the Television craft - Title Design category.
Bronze awards went to the pop-up channel ‘COSMOTE SPORT ACROPOLIS RALLY’ in the Branded Content General-Events category, the Promo ‘UEFA Champions League Final’ in the 2 categories of Branded Content General-Events and Branded Content General-Sports, the digital Press event to mark COSMOTE HISTORY 5th anniversary, the ‘Oscars Night 2021’ show and ‘Watch Next’ in the Immersive & Mixed Reality Craft-Use of AR category, the opening theme of ‘Watch Next’ in the Television craft - Title Design category, and the ‘WRC ACROPOLIS TV SHOW’ for the entire branding & graphics package in the Television Craft-Motion Graphics / Design category.
The Telly Awards
The Telly Awards were established in 1979, are based in New York and are the first ever video & television award event in the world. They initially focused on TV commercials for U.S. cable and regional TV. With the growth of television and video production, they evolved into an international institution. With their motto being “honouring excellence in video and television across all screens,” the Telly Awards reward creativity and the effectiveness of communication on television and all platforms every year.
The jury consists of 200 experts-high-ranking executives from television networks, production companies, advertising companies and film studios.
