Global Reporting Initiative

OTE is a GRI Member and Organizational Stakeholder since 2007, and OTE and COSMOTE were among the first Greek companies to apply GRI's G3 and G3.1 principles (Global Reporting Initiative "G3" Sustainability Reporting Guidelines), reporting at GRI ‘B' level since 2007 and GRI ‘B+' (indicating external assurance) since 2010.

United Nations Global Compact

In 2008, OTE and COSMOTE signed the UN Global Compact, committing to uphold ten universal values on human rights, labor standards, the environment and anticorruption. OTE and COSMOTE have integrated the Global Compact principles into their policies and operations, and annually report on these, within their CR Report.

FTSE4Good Index

OTE has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series, since 2008. The FTSE4Good equity index series, created by the global index company FTSE Group, is designed to facilitate investment in companies that meet globally recognized Corporate Responsibility standards. Companies in the FTSE4Good Index Series have met stringent environmental, social and governance criteria.

Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI)

In 2012, OTE received, for the first time, the ‘Platinum' distinction in Greece's Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI), organized in cooperation with BITC (Business in the Community). OTE participates in CRI since 2008, receiving ‘Silver' distinction in 2008 & 2009, and ‘Gold' distinction in 2010 & 2011.

Carbon Disclosure Project

Since 2010, OTE participates in the Carbon Disclosure Project Ιndex on climate change. CDP is the world's largest investment-focused reporting and collaboration platform on climate change.

Green Pass

The Guarantees of Origin secured by OTE and COSMOTE from the Public Power Corporation S.A., is an official means to ensure that the electricity they use is generated by renewable energy sources resulting in zero emissions of greenhouse gases. The Guarantees of Origin are unique and can only be used once by a consumer to claim coverage of his consumption from such RES electricity.
