Managing Energy Use and Addressing Climate Change

Environmental problems, with global (climate change, scarcity of energy sources and raw materials in general), regional (trans-boundary air pollution) and local (atmospheric pollution, waste disposal) impacts on economic activity, standards of living, human health, etc. have been the subject of increasing social concern and political attention worldwide with a number of on-going (formal or informal) consultations regarding the formulation of an effective set of policies and measures to mitigate potential impacts.

The contribution of OTE and COSMOTE in dealing with the above mentioned environmental problems consists of adopting practices to monitor and then reduce energy consumption and the associated emissions and developing products and services that contribute to such reductions in various sectors of the economy.
