Share Buybacks

A share buyback or share repurchase is a company's plan to buy back its own shares from the market place.

Below please find some of the key decisions and company events relating to share buy backs:

  • On 1/12/2013, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share for a price per share between 5 Euros and 15 Euros.
  • On 17/7/2004 the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders resolved to cancel 12,794,900 shares representing approximately 2.54% of the company's share capital.
  • The Repeated General Meeting of Shareholders, on 31/7/2006, approved the cancellation of 432,490 own shares, following the lapse of a three-year period since their acquisition, with subsequent reduction of share capital.
  • On 21/6/2007, the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 months at a maximum purchase price of 30 Euros and a minimum purchase price of 10 Euros.
  • On 8/11/ 2007, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 months, replacing the program in force since June 21, 2007.
  • On 7/4/2009, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders meeting approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 months at a maximum purchase price of 30 Euros and a minimum purchase price of 3 Euros, replacing the program in force, since November 8, 2007.
  • On 23/6/2011 the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 at a maximum purchase price of 30 Euros and a minimum purchase price of 3 Euros.
  • On 26/6/2013 the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 at a maximum purchase price of 30 Euros and a minimum purchase price of 2 Euros.
  • On 12/6/2015 the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the acquisition by OTE SA of own shares, up to one tenth (1/10) of the paid-up share within a period of 24 at a maximum purchase price of 30 Euros and a minimum purchase price of 2 Euros.
