On Saturday March 30th at 20.30, OTE Group "switched off" the lights for an hour at its main buildings nationwide, participating in “Earth Hour” in order to raise the awareness for environmental protection and climate change.
OTE Group, beyond its participation in public awareness campaigns contributes to the environmental protection through its best practices for monitoring and reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Ιn the context of the Integrated Management System, OTE Group is certified according to ISO 50001:2011 standard for the Energy Management System and ISO 14001:2015 standard for the Environmental Management System. These certifications demonstrate in practice the continuous improvement of the Group's energy and environmental performance since in the period 2008-2018, despite the fact that the Group expanded its network by increasing its activity, it managed to achieve a 18% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
OTE Group once again is the example of participating in actions of Environmental protection, reminding us that we are all responsible, collectively and individually, for it.
