“Eteros Ego - Catharsis”: series premiere on 11 December, exclusively on COSMOTE TV

The new season of “Eteros Ego,” entitled “Eteros Ego - Catharsis” – directed by Sotiris Tsafoulias – premieres on Friday, 11 December, exclusively on COSMOTE TV. This is the second part of the televised anthology of “Eteros Ego,” a COSMOTE TV production based on the 2016 award-winning crime thriller of the same name.

All 8 episodes of the series will premiere back-2-back on COSMOTE SERIES MARATHON HD, starting at 18.00. At the same time, all of the episodes will be available through the free on-demand service, COSMOTE TV Plus. Starting on Monday, 14 December, “Eteros Ego - Catharsis” will also be broadcast every Monday at 23.00 on COSMOTE SERIES HD.

Just a few days before the premiere, at 18.00 on Sunday, 6 December, on COSMOTE SERIES MARATHON HD, subscribers will be able to watch a marathon of all the episodes of the series’ previous season, “Eteros Ego - Lost Souls”.

In the new 8-episode season, a new series of murders – targeting female students – alarms the university community. Criminology professor Dimitris Lainis is facing off against the police, as their main suspect is his collaborator and friend – and candidate for Rector – Ilias Velissaratos, who is played by Konstantinos Markoulakis. As the story unfolds, one plot twist follows another, and a complex web connecting all of the cases starts to surface. The concept for the series was developed by Sotiris Tsafoulias, who co-wrote the script with Katerina Filiotou.

Returning in leading roles are Pygmalion Dadakaridis as professor Lainis, Petros Lagoutis as police lieutenant Pantelis Sklavis, Vicky Papadopoulou as the reporter Christina Stergiou, and Manos Vakousis as the retired police brigadier general Apostolos Barasopoulos. Tasos Nousias plays the new head of the homicide department, Nikos Vanortas.

Spyros Papadopoulos is also returning as the police Major General . Katerina Didaskalou, Melissanthi Mahut and Dimitris Kapetanakos are back as the geneticist EleniMarouda, Tonia and Alkis Masatos, respectively.

New cast members include Orfeas Avgoustidis (Meletis Krokidis), Gerasimos Gennatas (Grypas), and Anna Menenakou, as the police officer Martha Karra. Also playing in the series are: Ieroklis Michailidis, Kora Karvouni, Polydoros Vogiatzis, Myrto Alikaki, Dimitris Mavropoulos, Lazaros Georgakopoulos, Christo Sapountzis, Konstantinos Tzoumas and others.

The theme song, “I Lost My Soul,” is by George Gaudy, and the original music for the series was composed by Kostas Maragkos.
