COSMOTE supports its subscribers in the areas of central Euboea that were heavily affected by the severe weather conditions, with a series of measures to facilitate their increased communication needs. Specifically, for the residents of central Euboea, COSMOTE:
-Offers free of charge 1000’ min airtime to all national networks and 10GB of mobile Internet data to all its mobile subscribers -with postpaid, prepaid and cost control tariff plans- both residential and business, valid until 08/09/2020. Free airtime and GB will be offered in two packages of 500’ minutes and 5GB, which will be automatically activated on 10/08 and 25/08[1]. Beneficiary subscribers will be informed about the activation of the free airtime and Internet packages via text messages (SMS).
-Furthermore, in order to facilitate its subscribers, COSMOTE will suspend call barring procedures -permanent or temporary- for all fixed, mobile and pay TV connections in the affected areas.
From the very beginning OTE Group's engineers and technical teams have been working intensively for the prompt network damage restoration caused by the severe weather conditions in the heavily affected areas. In mobile telephony, network operation is almost fully restored. In fixed telephony, restoration in core network has been completed, while restoration works in other areas and in individual settlements are in progress. OTE Group’s technicians are on standby to support the communication needs of the residents in the affected areas
