SECCRIT (1/2013-12/2015)
Objective: to develop secure cloud computing for critical infrastructure
OTE is participating in the European research project SECCRIT, which aims to evaluate cloud computing technologies with respect to security risks in sensitive environments and to develop the appropriate best practices for security and reliability of critical infrastructures. The project is composed of 10 organizations from 6 countries (Austria, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, Greece).
In the context of the project, the respective legal framework is recognized and the relevant directives on data protection and risk management in cloud services are presented. The results are demonstrated in real application scenarios.
OTE is participating in identifying scenarios and technical/functional requirements of a large organization that is asked to adopt the proposed system and in implementing and assessing the pilot tests. Finally, we are contributing to the dissemination and use of the SECCRIT project's results.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the 7th Framework Program (FP7) and is scheduled to run for 3 years.
