Responding to its customers increased connectivity needs and supporting the State’s #DigitalSolidarityGR initiative for facilitating communication, work and entertainment at home, COSMOTE is taking a first series of actions. These actions include the provision of free mobile data to all COSMOTE mobile subscribers, free call minutes, SMS and data for our subscribers in Italy and Spain, and free access to TV content for everyone in Greece, via YouTube.
COSMOTE’s actions are aimed at limiting movement, easing the isolation of subscribers who are abroad, and providing quality entertainment for the family and especially for young people for as long as we have to “stay home.” Specifically, COSMOTE is taking the following actions:
A. Free 15 GB for 30 days for all mobile customers
To meet subscribers’ increased mobile communication and internet needs, COSMOTE is providing free 15 GB for all of its residential and business mobile customers with prepaid or postpaid plans. The free package can be activated starting on Tuesday, 17 March, and up until 31 March, using the My COSMOTE and WHAT’S UP apps.
B. Free airtime, data and SMS for COSMOTE subscribers in Italy and Spain
Also, for its subscribers who are in Italy or Spain, COSMOTE is providing 300 minutes of airtime from these two countries to Greece, 300 SMS and 1GB of data for two weeks.
C. COSMOTE TV: Free access for everyone, via YouTube, to the COSMOTE HISTORY documentary channel
Through 30 April, COSMOTE TV is offering the COSMOTE HISTORY HD programme of documentaries and shows free for everyone, on its official YouTube channel. With a 24-hour High Definition broadcast, COSMOTE HISTORY on YouTube will show select educational COSMOTE TV documentary series and shows for children and young people.
COSMOTE recommends that its subscribers use the My COSMOTE & WHAT’S UP apps
COSMOTE recommends that its residential and business subscribers download and use the My COSMOTE and WHAT’S UP apps to manage all their fixed, mobile and prepaid mobile connections, through their phone or tablet, easily and fast from home. This will enable them to limit their movement outside the home.
Through the My COSMOTE and WHAT’S UP apps, subscribers can manage all of the family’s or business’ fixed and mobile connections:
- check the balance of their plans
- renew airtime on their prepaid plans or any other prepaid plan
- purchase MB packages and call and text message (SMS) packages, change their plan, activate services and
- pay their bills or the bills of any other COSMOTE customer
They can also remotely check the use of their home or business router.
