- As part of the €2 million donation supporting the health system in the fight against Covid-19
COSMOTE purchased 110 hospital beds and monitors for the Intensive Care Units of Greek hospitals, as part of its €2 million donation supporting the national effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
Delivery of the 110 3306-6-type beds and an equal number of Elite V8 monitors, worth a total of €1,540,000, will begin on 15 April. The Ministry of Health will coordinate the use of the equipment, depending on the needs of hospitals throughout Greece. COSMOTE has already donated 24 respirators – costing a total of €275,760 – many of which have already been put into service at Papanikolaou General Hospital in Thessaloniki and Thriasio General Hospital in Elefsina.
COSMOTE will purchase additional medical equipment up to the total amount of €2 million, in collaboration with the Health Ministry’s coordinating department and in accordance with hospital needs.
