Through the new option Family Data Limits, parents adapt the volume of data that their children can consume during a month. This way, parents are sure that the consumption of data through the mobile phone does not exceed the limits they have set, while children are trained on the proper use of the Internet.

FAQ's
How are the plans’ features consumed?
The plans offer talk time, SMS and GB which are consumed without any limitation by all the members of the plan simultaneously, until these are used up. No particular member has priority in the consumption.

So, for instance, if one member of the plan does not the use the internet, then another member can consume the total of the plan’s GB on his/her own.
What is the “Plan Administrator”?
The “Plan Administrator” is the line specified as the administrator of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan. It is only the Plan Administrator who can proceed to any change/modification of the plan. The members (2nd and onwards) cannot intervene in the plan.
Can I change the Plan Administrator?
Yes. The phone number specified as the Plan Administrator can change once per billing month, by calling at Customer Support at 13888. Any change of the Plan Administrator can be realized only one day before the bill is issued (not at any point during the month).
What can I do if my plan’s GB are used up?
If the members participating in the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan consume the total of the GB, there is no need to worry, as there are two data packs available for all the family members to consume.

  • The COSMOTE GIGA MAX packages are automatically activated every month.
  • The packs are consumed by all the members of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan, without any limitation.
  • The packs can be activated only by the Plan Administrator via My COSMOTE app, the COSMOTE My Internet service, by calling at 13888 and at COSMOTE-GERMANOS stores.
  • The GB available are consumed freely by all the members.
  • MB which have not been consumed during the validity period of the pack are not transferred to a subsequent period of use.
  • The activation cost of a COSMOTE GIGA MAX Sharing pack will appear on the bill of the Plan Administrator.
  • The packs can be activated only via COSMOTE Mobile Family plan, and not via any other plan.
Are there any other additional packs that the members can activate if they wish to?
Yes. All the members, that is the Plan Administrator as well as all the additional members of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan, can activate extra packs of COSMOTE Mobile plans (meaning all the packs of the COSMOTE Mobile Residential plans).
  • However, the pack can be consumed only by the member of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan who activated it.
  • The charge for the COSMOTE Mobile plan will appear on the bill of the member responsible for the activation.
  • Upon activation of a COSMOTE Mobile Residential plan, an SMS informing about its successful activation will be sent only to the member who activated it.
What applies to COSMOTE My Internet service?
The COSMOTE My Internet service is pre-activated at COSMOTE Mobile Family plans.
Can a COSMOTE Prepaid join COSMOTE Mobile Family plan?
No, a COSMOTE Prepaid cannot join COSMOTE Mobile Family plan. In order for the Prepaid line to be incorporated into a Family plan, the economy plan must first change into COSMOTE Mobile Family.
What is COSMOTE Family Safety?
COSMOTE Family Safety is an application which allows parents to “introduce” their children in the new digital age safely.
This application gives parents the following option for control:
  • Block access to websites with prohibited content
  • Filter entire categories of websites depending on the content (e.g. pages with inappropriate content)
  • Monitor the use and limit or/and deter it on games and applications on the internet
  • Get informed and prevent risks accruing from the use of Social Media
  • Place time limits on internet use throughout the devices used by the child
  • Be informed at any time for the location of their child
  • Specify geographic boundaries within which their children can move and receive notifications when they step out of those predetermined boundaries
What is the cost of COSMOTE Family Safety?
The service is provided FOR FREE FOR LIFE to the subscribers of COSMOTE Mobile Family plans and includes 5 licenses (1 for each device), while for the rest of COSMOTE Plans/ Prepaid subscribers is provided FOR FREE until June, 30 of 2018. Afterwards, the monthly fixed fee for 5 licenses (5 devices) is 2.99€/month.
On how many devices can I install COSMOTE Family Safety?
COSMOTE Family Safety plan can be installed on up to 5 devices (smartphone, tablet, PC/Laptop).
For devices operating on iOS (Apple), the application “COSMOTE Family Safety kid” is available only on Beta version.
How can I acquire COSMOTE Family Safety?
COSMOTE Family Safety is at your disposal if you are a COSMOTE Fixed or COSMOTE Mobile telephony subscriber. It involves all new and existing COSMOTE Mobile and Fixed telephony subscribers. For more information, you can enter cosmote.gr, call 13888 or visit a store of the COSMOTE or GERMANOS network.
What do Family Data Limits provide?
Via Family Data Limits, the administrators of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plans (leader line) are given the chance to set specific limits on the MB used by the rest of the members of the plan.

The limits on the use of MB (Family Data limits) can be set by the Administrator of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan COSMOTE Mobile Family on the following connections::

  • COSMOTE Mobile Family 10
  • COSMOTE Mobile Internet
  • COSMOTE Extra data SIM
To which categories of available MB do the limits on MB use apply?

The limits on MB use apply to all MB deriving from the following categories::

  • The MB incorporated in the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan
  • The MB from a connected COSMOTE Mobile Internet plan
  • The MB from extra COSMOTE Family Sharing packs
  • The MB from promos of extra COSMOTE Family Sharing packs

For instance, if the total of the sharing MB of the plan is 10GB, the Plan’s Administrator can determine that:

  • On the COSMOTE Mobile Family 10 connection, up to 9GB can be consumed
  • On the COSMOTE Mobile Internet connection, up to 5GB can be consumed

The limit set per connection cannot exceed that of the sum of the MB available.

The sum of the MB corresponding to the limits set can exceed the sum of the available sharing MB.

How are the limits on MB use determined?

The limits on MB use can be activated originally and then managed solely by the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan Administrator in the following ways:

  • At My COSMOTE App
  • At My COSMOTE Web
  • By calling at COSMOTE Customer Support – 13888
  • By visiting the store network of COSMOTE – GERMANOS
If a COSMOTE Mobile Family plan does not have limits set regarding MB use, then how are the available MB being consumed?
If limits on MB use have not been set, then the members of the plan can consume the MB of the plan in their entirety without any limitation.
Can the limits on MB use be different per member?

Yes they can. The Plan Administrator (leader line) can set different limits on MB use for every member of the plan.

The limit set per connection cannot exceed that of the sum of available MB.

How are the members of the plan informed about the limit on MB use that has been possibly activated on their connection?

The members of the COSMOTE Mobile Family plan can get informed about the limit on the MB use specified for their connection in the following ways:

  • Via an SMS informing them every time that their limit changes
  • At My COSMOTE App
  • At My COSMOTE Web
  • Via the COSMOTE My Internet service
  • By calling at COSMOTE Customer Support – 13888
If the Plan Administrator activates a new pack of Sharable MB while there is already a limit on use activated, does the limit change or does it stay the same?
In case that the Plan Administrator purchases an extra pack of MB Family Sharing or connects a COSMOTE Mobile Internet plan or activates a promo of an extra COSMOTE MB Family Sharing plan, the limits on MB use per member stay the same. The Plan Administrator can change at any time the limits on MB use for any member of the plan.
