I’m a COSMOTE TV satellite subscriber. Why do I have to convert my COSMOTE TV GO to New COSMOTE TV?
COSMOTE TV GO is no longer available.
You can get easy and FREE access to the new COSMOTE TV apps and upgrade your entertainment! This way, you can continue to enjoy the content of your COSMOTE TV subscription wherever you are, on your mobile phone, tablet or pc, and you’ll also be able to use it on your Smart TV.
Does anything change if I switch to the new COSMOTE TV platform?
When you switch to the new COSMOTE TV platform, some features will no longer be available.
Specifically, you will not be able to:
- use COSMOTE TV GO (app & web) any longer.
- have the same bookmarks as your decoder. So, if you start a program on your decoder, you will not be able to continue from where you left off in the new COSMOTE TV.
- rent a movie from the Movies Club via your decoder and watch in on the new COSMOTE TV. And vice versa: if you rent a movie via the new COSMOTE TV, you won’t be able to watch it on your decoder.
- Schedule remote recordings on your decoder.
- have common favourite programs & channels on the new COSMOTE TV and your decoder.
- have the same profile on your decoder and on the new COSMOTE TV.
How do I switch to or activate the new COSMOTE TV?
If you are a COSMOTE TV subscriber Via Satellite and you have linked your active COSMOTE TV service to your COSMOTE ID, you can enter My COSMOTE and, from the Connections column on the left, select SRN (in the “Television” category).
If COSMOTE TV GO is active, a new notification box will appear under “Active Services,” where you can click to initiate the conversion of COSMOTE TV GO to the new COSMOTE TV.
Where can I find instructions on how to connect to New COSMOTE TV?
At https://nea-cosmotetv.gr/tropoi-sundesis you will find detailed information on devices that support the new COSMOTE TV.
How many devices can I use the new COSMOTE TV on?
The new COSMOTE TV app can be installed on 5 devices and played on one at a time.
Adding the additional devices package enables you to install the app on up to 7 devices and view all content – except sports content – simultaneously on two screens. Sports content is available on only one screen.
There is a monthly charge of €4.55 for the optional extra-device package.
Can I also change my satellite subscription completely to the New COSMOTE TV?
No. Conversion or activation is only for the Free additional option of using the new COSMOTE TV as a free add-on. You cannot completely convert your satellite service to the new COSMOTE TV.
Can I get the Android TV converter that COSMOTE offers with New COSMOTE TV?
No. This particular decoder is offered only with the Double Play with TV packages and with the 12-month COSMOTE TV contract packages (OTT).
But you can purchase another Android TV decoder available on the market, because the new COSMOTE TV app has been developed for compatibility with devices using an Android TV 8.0 or later system.
Please note: Google created the Android TV operating system for televisions/decoders, and it is different from the Android OS designed for smartphones and tablets. Additionally, the COSMOTE TV app will not function on root-enabled devices.
I am a COSMOTE TV subscriber via a Broadband Connection or the older COSMOTE TV GO packages (which are no longer commercially available). When can I change my GO package or activate New COSMOTE TV?
You will have this option very soon. When this option is available, we will inform you about how you can make the switch or activate the service.
When will COSMOTE TV GO be completely discontinued?
Sometime in the fall, the COSMOTE TV GO service will be completely discontinued and you will no longer be able to use it.
If I convert my COSMOTE TV GO to New COSMOTE TV, will I be able to use both services?
No. Once you convert to New COSMOTE TV, you will no longer be able to use COSMOTE TV GO.
I have COSMOTE TV GO, but I don’t have a COSMOTE ID. How can I make the switch?
In this case, you will have to create a new COSMOTE ID by going to https://account.cosmote.gr/el/ and then logging on to COSMOTE TV via satellite subscription under the COSMOTE ID you create, following the steps set out for you.
I have connected COSMOTE TV via Satellite under a COSMOTE ID, but I don’t want to use this ID to connect to New COSMOTE TV. Is there another way I can connect?
Of course, provided you first log in with the COSMOTE ID of your choice. But in order to proceed to the conversion or activation procedure, you will also have to connect the other COSMOTE ID to the active satellite service. Once you have logged on to the new COSMOTE TV service with a given COSMOTE ID, you cannot log on using another ID.
I am a COSMOTE TV satellite subscriber but I have also acquired the COSMOTE TV OTT Mini Packs (for the experience). Can I also get the new COSMOTE TV?
