The need
Creation of a state-of-the-art Data Center in Greece. The OTE Group took on the project following an international tender, delivering it on time, with complete success and without interrupting the company’s operations.
The solutions
OTE infrastructure : Implementation of the Data Center began with the transfer of all systems to OTE Group infrastructure and was completed with the full migration of these systems.
 
Facilitation of operations : Upgrading of many operations, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), the Call Center and, mainly, Enterprise Resource Planning, given that Coca-Cola HBC receives over 18.5 million orders a year.
 
Second Data Center : Operation of a backup Data Center, ensuring the smooth, uninterrupted operation of the enterprise.
 
Data Center support : With its expert personnel, the OTE Group is responsible for managing, operating and supporting the Data Center for 5 years.
The benefits
Serving IT enterprise applications : This large and complex project is aimed at serving the IT enterprise applications of Coca-Cola HBC employees in the 28 countries, where the company operates.
 
Support of all enterprise operations : The new state-of-the-art Data Center makes Greece the base for one of Coca-Cola HBC’s most important operations, as it now supports all of the enterprise operations of all manufacturing systems.

International Recognition
The state-of-the-art Data Center project represented Greece – through the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) –  at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards 2016 and won a Merit Award in the ‘Private Sector Excellence’ category.

The awards are held every two years by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) and the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) to honor organizations that have made exceptional achievements in the use of Information and Communications Technologies to benefit society, the Public Sector, a private enterprise or a private citizen.
