National & International Co-operations

Research Programs

Part of OTE’s strategy consists in the active participation regarding the elaboration and implementation of contemporary European and national research programs, which promote technological applications in the electronic communications sectors, according to the needs and the requests of the European communities and economy. In 2010, ΟΤΕ participated in 5 European Community Research Programs, as well as in National Research Programs, while it participated in 7 Conferences and Workshops.

European Community Research Programs

  • Self-NET (“Self-Management of Cognitive Future InterNET Elements”)
  • FUTON (“Fibre Optic Networks for Distributed, Extendible Heterogeneous Radio Architectures and Service Provisioning”)
  • REWIND (“RElay based WIreless Network and standarD”)
  • CONSERN (“Cooperative aNd Self-growing Energy awaRe Networks”)
  • WHERE2 (“Wireless Hybrid Enhanced Mobile Radio-Estimators, Phase 2”)

National Research Programs

  • Participation in elaboration actions for special deliverables-studies and publications and actions for the promotion of their findings in the broader business-commercial and research/academic community (especially through the participation in distinguished conference events)
  • Organisation of presentations and conduct of a seminar for the promotion of the findings of the research programs, as well as for the information regarding new trends in technology and business prospects in view of a broader community strategy and the relevant international developments in the sector of electronic communications
  • Participation in preparatory actions and submission of proposals for funded national research programs (Actions “SYNERGASIA” / ESPA from GGET)

In the framework of the promotional actions and diffusion of the findings from the elaborated research programs, OTE participated in a series of internationally renowned conferences and workshops.
