COSMOKARTA activation

To activate your COSMOKARTA follow the steps below:

• Insert COSMOTE SIM card , according to the manufacturer's instructions and switch your mobile on by pressing the ON/OFF key for a few seconds

• Enter the four-digit PIN 1 code number, which appears on the reverse of the body of COSMOTE SIM card and press the OK key or the # key

• If the battery is charged, the indication that you are within COSMOTE network will appear on your handset display

• The only thing you now need to do is call a number*. As soon as you have dialed it, you will hear a recorded message welcoming you to COSMOTE pre-paid mobile telephony and informing you that your number will be activated shortly. It is necessary for you to listen to the whole message for the COSMOKARTA activation procedure to work. You will then be immediately connected to the number you have dialed. Your COSMOKARTA connection will be activated whether or not the call is answered.

Following this, you can call 1313 (free of charge) to receive information on how to register your personal details. This will help you to use certain services in the future. By calling 1313 , you can also activate your personal Voice Mail Service.

* It concerns all destinations except of those that the call is not charged, such as emergency call numbers (ex. 166).

Usage duration

You may use all COSMOKARTA services for 12 months, starting from its initial activation. If your balance runs out before the 12-month period is over, you will continue to receive calls and short messages as well until the period of 12 months expires.

At the beginning of and during of a call, a special voice message informs you (free of charge) if your balance is close to running out. Specifically, before a call is put through, you are informed if your balance is sufficient for 5 minutes or less. During the call you are informed whether your balance is 3 minutes, 1 minute or 30 seconds. COSMOKARTA is so smart and discreet, that only you can hear the message, not the person you' re talking to.

You can top up whenever you wish, by acquiring a voucher. Every time you top up COSMOKARTA service life is renewed for another 12 months from the last time you top up.

Attention

If you haven't topped up for the last 12 months you will lose the remaining balance € if there's any left - and you can neither make nor receive calls or short messages.

However, COSMOTE offers you an extra 1-month period in which you are entitled to top up, thus re-activating your COSMOKARTA . However if 13 months go by, without having topped up, your phone number will automatically be erased and therefore your connection with the COSMOTE network will be deactivated.

Top up

You can top up your talk time any time, by buying a Top up card, from COSMOTE's wide sales network all over Greece. There are four different Top up cards:

30€ economic card with extra airtime worth 3€ .

When you buy the card, dial 1314 from your mobile phone (free of charge) or 697 100 1314 from a landline and, following the instructions at the back of the card, enter the 16-digit code number. In this way your card value is added to your remaining talk time- if there's any left - and your COSMOKARTA service life is renewed for another 12 months.

You can also top up your talk time by sending sms ΑΝΑ and the 16 digit code which is written on the top-up card (e.g. ΑΝΑ 123456...) to 1314 free of charge

If you have a Eurobank bank account, you can top up your talk time by direct debit. With a free phone call from your mobile phone to Europhone Banking (210 9555000), 24 hours a day, you can top up your COSMOKARTA talk time quickly and easily!

If you have an Alpha Bank account connected to its issue card, you can top up your talk time, quickly and easily 24 hours a day, via Alpha Bank cash dispensers (ATMs). The only thing you've got to do is to follow the instructions on the ATM screen!

If for any reason, it is not possible to get a receipt from the ATM, Alpha Bank does not allow for this exchange to take place and you will be notified with a message.

Note:

If you try to make a call when your talk time has finished, you are informed with a voice message.
