Multimedia information services are electronic communication services which concern the provision of information or content to electronic communication networks. Charges for these services are based on the charges applied for calls to the following numbering series:

- 825 xxx xxxx
- 850 xxx xxxx
- 875 xxx xxxx
- 14xxx
- 190-195xx και 54xxx
Those services include:
- Audiotext services
- Videotext services
- Premium rate services
- SMS and MMS value added services.
Multimedia services can also be provided through the Internet.
Examples of MIS are:
- Tele-voting
- Premium SMS Promos
- Purchase of ringtones, logos, videos, games through SMS/MMS
- Live Customer Support
- Chat
- Zodiac sign predictions
- Adult services
- Information services (eg. Weather forecast)
Barring in MIS
By the term Barring we mean the restriction of certain or all types of Multimedia Information Services that are provided through one or more of the above numbering series. Thus, the subscriber, after his/her application to bar one or more of the above numbering series, will not be able to receive incoming premium rate calls or video calls as well as to receive or send Premium SMS/MMS.
