Find out who called you when your phone was busy, out of range or deactivated, with COSMOTE’s Call Notification Service.
With the Call Notification Service, you will receive an automatic SMS message, free of charge, displaying the number that called you (unless “Calling Line Identification Restriction” is activated), and the caller’s name, if it is included in your list of contacts stored on your handset or SIM card (make sure your contacts’ list is activated according to your handset’s settings).
For example if you have a missed call from a number in your contacts’ list under the name “JOHN SMITH” then you will get the text message:
From: JOHN SMITH
YOU HAD 1 CALL:
+306971234567
29/11 14:50
The number that called you will appear with the international code prefix (e.g. e.g. +30697XX) so as to be able to call directly even if you are abroad.
If you have 4 or more missed calls from different numbers, then you will get a summary SMS, instead of a separate message for each call you missed.
For example you will get the message:
From Calls
"½ YOU HAD 8 CALLS
+306972345678 [5]
18/12 14:30
+306971234567
18/12 15:00",
+306971234568
18/12 16:00",
+306971234569
18/12 17:00"
In that case the number +306972345678 did call you 5 times, with the last call at 14:30, on December 18th, while the other called you once, on the corresponding times and dates. The ½ indication means that this is the first of two text messages that you will receive, if you had more that four missed calls from different numbers. The summary SMS will list the numbers from which the calls were made, but the word CALLS will appear as the sender of the message – not the names of the callers even if they are listed on your handset’s or SIM card’s contact list.
You can receive notifications for up to 20 different mobile or landline numbers that called you. When your mobile phone is off or out of range for more than two days you will receive notifications for calls missed during the last 48 hours.
COSMOΤΕ enables you to activate both the Call Notification and Personal Voicemail services at the same time, to ensure that not a single call is missed. In this way when your mobile phone is off, out of range or busy, you will either be notified by SMS with the Call Notification Service for any calls made to your number, or you will be able to listen to the voice messages left in your Personal Voice Mailbox. If you don’t use your Personal Voicemail, the Call Notification Service will function only when your mobile phone is off or out of range.
Call Notification is activated automatically for all COSMOTE subscribers so as persons calling you are not informed that you will be notified about their calls. However, you may deactivate Call Notification or choose to notify callers.
