The use of mobile phones, is gradually deployed to younger age groups, a fact requiring continuous alerting of parents, who should be informed properly, about mobile phone functions, such as accessing services ( voice calls, SMS, access the internet).
Within this frame - being convinced that prevention and proper briefing can ensure proper use- we have developed a line of services, actions and initiatives.
We have developed a number of user-friendly Parental Control Services, through which parents can manage their children’s access to services, which are exclusively addressed for adults.
A. Via WAP, the Erotic category contains WebPages with provocative content which may be unsuitable for minors. For this reason, the access by minors is strictly forbidden.
COSMOTE gives you the ability to activate the barring of these categories, by making use of the Protection of Minors Service, and by calling COSMOTE’s Customer Service Center:
- at 13838 for contract subscribers and for prepaid customers
To retrieve the ability to access these categories (as long as you are over 18 years old) you can contact with the Customer Service Center
Β. Moreover if they wish, parents can block their children’s calls made to value-added telephone numbers. Specifically, we provide free-of-charge call barring services to our subscribers for calls made to value-added voice service ten-digit numbers 901 and 909 (exclusively for adults).
In particular, simply by calling COSMOTE’s Customer Service Department at 13838 or 1200, subscribers may request call barring for:
- All 901
- All 909
- All 901 & 909
